Sherwood Boulevard Closure Scheduled Oct. 27


Due to rain delays, Sherwood Boulevard in White Rock is now scheduled for closure Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Work is scheduled through the weekend to prepare the roadbed for paving. Monday, Oct. 26, construction crews will be paving the northbound lane of Sherwood Blvd. The southbound lane will remain open. Motorists might experience minor delays particularly at driveways and cross streets. 

Tuesday, Oct. 27, Sherwood Blvd. will be closed from N.M. 4 to Aztec Avenue to complete final paving of all traffic lanes. Access to adjacent businesses will be detoured to Rover Blvd., Bonnie View Drive and Longview Drive. Flagging operations may occur near driveways and cross streets. Motorists will experience minor delays.

Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zone, be on the alert for all workers and equipment. Large equipment and trucks will be entering and existing the work zone throughout the project.
