Kendra Henning, owner of RE/MAX of Los Alamos, had outgrown her space in Central Park Square, but didn’t want to give up the advantages of the location.

When the Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service vacated its Central Park Square location for new offices on Canyon Road, an opportunity arose, but the space was too large for her company alone.

Paula Glover, division president of Stewart Title, was also looking for new quarters for her business. Henning and Glover decided that sharing the space was the ideal solution.

The two companies moved into their new location at 116 Central Park Square in late January.

“We moved everything out and took it down to the slab,” Glover said. “Kendra and I designed the floor plan together.”

The two businesswomen are delighted with the results.

“We have areas of shared space, a kitchen, a workroom, a conference room and a reception area and separate spaces for our offices,” Henning said. “By sharing space, we’re both getting more of what we need.”

Glover and her associates at Stewart Title, Holly Heinaman and Emily Thacker, have 35 years of experience between them in the title industry, Glover said. The company has been in business since 1983 and Glover joined Stewart Title in 2002.

“We handle all real estate title insurance, both commercial and residential as well as short sales and foreclosures. We also do property and casualty insurance.”

RE/MAX of Los Alamos was founded by Jim Gautier in 1995. In 1999, Nancy Mroz purchased the franchise and in 2007, Kendra and her husband Paul Henning became the owners.

Currently, RE/MAX is the largest real estate office in Los Alamos, with 15 realtors working out of its office.

“We’re all good friends,” Henning said.

“For the past 10 years, Re/MAX of Los Alamos has been the top producing real estate company in Los Alamos,” Henning said. “We’re very proud of that.”

The community is welcome to drop by Central Park Square and see their new home 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 when RE/MAX of Los Alamos and Stewart Title Company will be showing off their new offices during a Chamber of Commerce FAN Club event and Open House.
