SFNF Day-Use Fees Waived On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

SFNF News:

All Santa Fe National Forest offices will be closed

SANTA FE—The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) has announced the first of its fee-free days of the year beginning with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.

All SFNF offices will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. Normal business hours will resume Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Mark calendars for the following fee-free days in 2025:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Jan. 20
  • National Get Outdoors Day, June 14
  • Juneteenth National Independence Day, June 19
  • National Public Lands Day, Sept. 27
  • Veterans Day, Nov. 11

Overnight camping fees at developed campgrounds are not waived.

The fee waiver program is offered in cooperation with other federal land management agencies under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. For more information visit the Forest Service’s Passes and Permits webpage.
