SFNF: Cow Creek Road Closed For Bridge Repair

SFNF News:

SANTA FE  For public safety reasons, Forest Road 92 (Cow Creek Road), in the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest, has closed for bridge maintenance.

The work involves repairs to the foundation meant to stabilize the bridge.

The road will remain closed until further notice. Reference the official closure order for details, to include exemptions, https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd579217.pdf, and map, https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd579219.pdf

“Even though Forest Road 92 is closed, there are other areas of the forest that can be accessed due to seasonal road openings that took place over the past couple of weeks,” Steve Romero, district ranger said. “However, beware of Stage 2 fire restrictions already in effect as of today. If you plan to be in the forest, practice good fire prevention throughout the forest.”
