Second League Of Women Voters Forum Oct. 3

The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos will host its second non-partisan candidates forum Wednesday, Oct. 3.
 
Refreshments and socializing with the candidates begins at 6:30 p.m. and the forum begins at 7 p.m. at the Student Union in Building 2 at UNM-LA.
 
This forum features the unopposed candidate for County Assessor, Ken Milder (D); candidates for Magistrate Judge: Pat Casados (D), and James Rickman (L); and the four candidates for Sheriff: Joseph Granville (D), Chris Luchini (L), James Whitehead (R), and Greg White (DTS).
 
We will also hear from candidates for Municipal Judge: Elizabeth Allen (D) and Alan Kirk (R), and the New Mexico House of Representatives Dist. 43: Christine Chandler (D) and Lisa Shin (R).
 
Members of the Los Alamos High School Hilltalkers will again assist in running the forum.
 
Don’t forget to consult the LWVLA Voter Guide, which will be published in the Los Alamos Daily Post and delivered by mail Thursday, Oct. 4. The LWVLA Voter Guide also will be available on the LWVLA website.
 
The last day to register to vote online or in person with the Los Alamos County Clerk is Tuesday, Oct. 9at the County Building on Central Avenue. Register online.
 
Democracy is not a spectator sport. To become better informed, join the League of Women Voters of Los Alamos. Membership in the League is open to men as well as women.
