ScienceFest: Scenes From PEEC Electric Car Show Today

Los Alamos County’s fleet maintence employee Matthew Lengyel checks out a County’s hybrid car, which is one of two hybrid cars in the County’s motor pool. The Ford C-Max was displayed during the Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s electric car show today in the parking lot at the Los Alamos Nature Center. In addition to hybrid cars, electric cars, electric bicycles and even a home-made electric motorcycle were showcased. There also were a number of cars available for test drives. An electric car displayed during the car show Saturday at PEEC. PEEC Educator Sandra West said she worked with the Northen New Mexico Electric Vehicle Association to get participants.
