Science on Screen Presents ‘The Road’ With Ole Peters

The popular Science On Screen series continues at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the Center for Contemporary Arts, 1050 Old Pecos Trail in Santa Fe. Santa Fe Institute (SFI) External Professor Ole Peters presents The Road, directed by John Hillcoat and adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Cormac McCarthy.

McCarthy’s heart-wrenching post-apocalyptic tale is translated to the screen in unforgettable fashion. Viggo Mortenson, Charlize Theron and Kodi Smit-McPhee play members of a family in a world where survival can be the only goal. Preceded by a presentation by Ole Peters, who will discuss issues of time, possibility and alternate realities.
