School Board to Discuss Litigation in Executive Session

LAPS News:

The Los Alamos School Board will hold a Special School Board Meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Los Alamos Middle School Library, 2101 Hawk Dr.

The Special School Board Meeting will go into a closed Executive Session in the Los Alamos Middle School Special Education conference room for the purposes of attorney client privilege/pending litigation matters, to discuss the settlement conference in employee litigation pursuant to Section 10-15-1-H(7) of the Open Meetings Act.

After the closed Executive Session is over, President Judy Bjarke-McKenzie will reconvene the Special School Board meeting. In reference to the Executive Session held at the start of the Regular School Board Meeting, McKenzie will make a statement that the purpose for the discussion in closed session was limited to the discussion stated in the agenda and no action was taken.
