SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Topper Boys Basketball Team closed out their season with a big win over the Pojoaque Elks Saturday evening at Pojoaque High School.

These two teams are well matched and either team could have won the contest as they traded the lead back and forth throughout the game.

In their first meeting earlier this season, the game went down to the last few seconds when the Toppers scored with one second on the clock to win the contest 48-45.  This game was just as exciting and ended in a 50-50 tie at the end of regulation play requiring an overtime to decide the winner.

Once again, the Toppers scored the extra points, with only a few seconds on the clock to win the contest 65-60. The Toppers finished the season with an 8-4 overall win/loss record and 5-3 for conference play.
