Scenes From Topper Volleyball Against Sartans

The Topper volleyball team takes to the floor to play an old foe, the St. Pius Sartans in Griffith Gym last Tuesday evening. The Toppers have not won a volleyball match with the Sartans since 2017. This match-up almost changed that and was one of the most exciting matches in recent history. The Toppers easily won the first set 25-15. The second match was very close but the Sartans won 26-28. The third set was all Sartans 13-25. However the Toppers came back in the fourth set winning 28-26. The Sartans managed to win the fifth set 15-17 and won the match. Then sets were close with only a few points separating the two teams all evening. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
