USAF Lt. [Ret.] Joseph R. Cdebaca presents his father Joseph A. Cdebaca, Vietnam Veteran, 3rd Brigade 4th Infantry Division ‘The Iron Brigade’ – the Orange Heart Service Medal for wounds sustained from exposure to Agent Orange during his military service to the United States. He is the first veteran in New Mexico to receive the Orange Heart Service Medal and also received several other post service medals during the special ceremony Thursday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), John D. Gamble Post 8874, at 1793 Deacon St. in Los Alamos.
