Scenes From Los Alamos Nuclear Shootout

Isaac Dunwoody, a former Topper hockey player, is back on home ice playing for UNM and he played over the weekend in the Los Alamos Nuclear Shootout hosted by the UNM Hockey Team at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink. There were four teams in attendance at this year’s shootout, UNM, Nebraska, Dallas Baptist and Northern Arizona. UNM lost to Dallas Baptist 3-6. The games were scheduled to be played Friday, Saturday and the championship game Sunday but snowy conditions canceled Sunday’s game. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com

Playing in the snow was a new experience for most, it did not slow UNM’s Jarrod Ronquillo as he moves toward the net as Dallas’s Trenton tries to steal the puck. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
