Scenes From Black Lives Matter Protest This Afternoon

Participants in the Black Lives Matter protest held this afternoon at Ashley Pond Park march down Canyon Road. The event, organized by Los Alamos resident Colin Wilburn, featured speakers as well as a voter registration booth manned by members of the Los Alamos Democratic Party. Many drivers passing by the marchers showed support by honking their horn and giving thumbs ups. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com

Isaiah Espinosa leads the march and the chant: ‘No justice – no peace!’ He told the group they should shout this and other messages to bring about change and to speak for those who can longer speak. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com
