The 2026 Children’s 4th of July Parade and carnival was hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Saturday morning at 366 Grand Canyon Drive in White Rock. The annual event began with a flag ceremony performed by the JROTC, and children’s parade around the block, led by the Los Alamos Police and Fire departments. Children were invited to festively decorate their bikes, trikes, strollers, wagons, scooters, etc. for the parade. A free carnival on the back lawn of the church followed the parade with popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy for all. There were carnival games with prizes such as a fishing booth and a bean bag toss, face painting, pop-a-shot, and a dunk tank, bubble pit and other large inflatables.
