SBA News:ALBUQUERQUE ― The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) New Mexico District Office is now accepting nominations for the 2017 SBA Small Business Week Awards.
This is an opportunity to showcase outstanding small businesses and individuals who create jobs and contribute to developing our local economies in New Mexico. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 10, 2017.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. There are over 152,000 small businesses in New Mexico that employ over 331,000 individuals or 55% of the state’s private workforce,” said SBA New Mexico District Director John M. Garcia, “As small business grows, so does our economy. We look forward to every opportunity to celebrate our state’s small business owners. And so with great pride the SBA New Mexico District Office invites the nominations of remarkable small business owners and small business champions for our 2017 Small Business Week Awards. ”
Nominations are open to all individuals or organizations in New Mexico. Nominees are not allowed to be nominated in more than one award category.
