Save The Date: Hampton Sides At Fuller Lodge Dec. 4

Mesa Public Library presents renowned author, historian and journalist Hampton Sides at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4 in Fuller Lodge.

As part of the Library’s Authors Speak program, Sides will talk about his new book “On Desperate Ground – the Marines at the Reservoir, the Korean War’s Greatest Battle”.

Sides is the award-winning author of Ghost Soldiers, Blood and Thunder and In the Kingdom of Ice, and dozens of articles and essays. He has been hailed by critics as one of the best nonfiction writers of his generation. His account of the epic clash at Chosin Reservoir relies on years of archival research, unpublished letters, declassified documents and interviews with scores of Marines and Koreans who survived the siege.

Books will be available for purchase on the evening of the talk, and Sides will sign books after his talk.

The Library’s Authors Speak program is supported by Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries.
