Early registration for the Los Alamos Dog Jog ends this week, but there is a special offer for participants.
The Dog Jog organizer, Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals (FOSCA), will be at Sugar & Cream 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to accept early registration forms. Not only will participants get the early registration discounted rate (save $5), but if people register in-person they will get a free t-shirt from an earlier year’s Dog Jog. There are many colors and sizes to choose from so come and pick out a favorite. If participants bring their dog to register, Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals will also have toys and treats to hand out.
Organizers may also have a “special” guest – Mojo, the adorable little special needs dog looking for his forever home. Mojo has been through a lot, but his winning personality still shines through! Come and say hello and hear about how Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals is working to help Mojo find the love and care that he deserves.
The Dog Jog is an annual fundraiser for the Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals, an all-volunteer organization that uses this money to provide funding for spay/neuter programs and veterinary care for ill and injured dogs and cats whose owners cannot afford expensive care for their beloved pets.
The 2024 Los Alamos Dog Jog is 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Rover Park in White Rock. For more information, visit https://www.lafos.org/. To save $5, pre-register by Sunday, April 7, and send the registration form and payment to Dog Jog Registrar at 155 Monte Rey S., Los Alamos, NM 87547.
If people miss the special registration event, they can still get entry forms at Ridgeview Veterinary Hospital or download one at https://www.lafos.org/. There will be day-of registration starting at 8:10 a.m. April 27 at Rover Park. All participants will get a t-shirt with a local young artist’s creative design. And there will be lots of toys and prizes as well, so don’t miss it!
