Santa Fe Ski Team Hosts Annual Ski Swap

SFST News:

SANTA FE — It’s time to gear up for another season on the slopes!

The Santa Fe Ski Team is hosting its annual Ski Swap Friday, Oct. 28-29 at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) in Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe Ski team invites the public to participate in the event – drop off winter sport gear between noon and 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. There is a $2 concession fee and 20 percent of the sales benefit the Santa Fe Ski Team.

“The Santa Fe Ski Team’s annual ski swap is a great opportunity for us to invite the community to take advantage of some great deals on winter gear. There’s a lot of items available for both new and experience winter enthusiasts,” says Stefan Seigmann, a seasoned Santa Fe Ski Team coach. “The swap always marks the beginning of another exciting season and offers a chance for our coaches to inform the public about our Alpine Race and Master’s Program.”

The Santa Fe Ski Team trains at Sipapu. The team-oriented competitive race program has been providing alpine racers an opportunity to develop and refine their skills for more than 50 years. The Santa Fe Ski Team invites anyone interested in learning more about the program to stop by the Santa Fe Ski Team tent at the ski swap this weekend.

The ski swap is the primary fundraiser for the Santa Fe Ski Team, a registered 501c3 that supports skiers with scholarships, equipment and a staff of qualified coaches throughout an extended ski season that runs mid November to mid March.
