After a busy summer of opera, the Santa Fe Opera Guild begins the fall season with a fun book about a woman who thought she could sing. Florence! Foster!! Jenkins!!! The World’s Worst Opera Singer by Darryl W. Bullock.
The book explores her life, delving into her background, her devoted circle of friends who shielded her from criticism, and her unintentional rise to fame. Published in 2016, the book offers a humorous and empathetic look at a woman who fearlessly pursued her musical dreams, leaving an indelible mark on the world of entertainment.
