Santa Fe Animal Shelter Offers Special Adoption Fees And Giveaways During Kitten Palooza Event Aug. 1-2

SFAS News:

Due to an influx of kittens, the Santa Fe Animal Shelter has announced a one-time special adoption fee on all kittens two to five months old, during its Kitten Palooza Weekend.

The Santa Fe Animal Shelter, northern New Mexico’s largest open-admission, no-kill shelter, will hold its Kitten Palooza adoption event at the shelter’s main campus 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., today and Sunday, Aug. 1-2.

The shelter’s RV will be parked out front to allow more people to visit with kittens. To reserve an appointment during Kitten Palooza, call 505.983.4309 extension 1610.

“We have been helping so many shelters around the state with their overpopulation of kittens this season, which has now led us to be a bit overcrowded,” said Murad Kirdar, the shelter’s public relations officer.

“We are hoping to ease the population in the kitten rooms by offering a very special adoption fee and a kitty gift bag with every adoption this weekend,” Kirdar said.

All kittens adopted from the shelter are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have age-appropriate vaccinations.
