Rotary Briefed On Community Internship Collaboration

Therese Crepeau, an intern with the Community Internship Collaboration, a program designed to give interns hands-on experience working in local businesses the opportunity to work with motivated students, described the program during a May 23 presentation at the Rotary Club of Los Alamos.

She was joined at the podium by Rotarian Laura Loy who directed the program through UNM-Los Alamos. Guests at the meeting included Carole Rutten, deputy director of LANL’s Community Programs Office, who initiated the local program, which is now expanding through Northern New Mexico, and Dr. Cindy Rooney, executive director of UNM-Los Alamos.

The program is supported by Los Alamos National Laboratory, UNM-Los Alamos, the Small Business Development Center-New Mexico and Los Alamos High School.
