Ted Romero, Sean Thomas and Ryan Smeltzer had the best predictions in Tuesday’s 2.8-mile pace race, with delta times of 2, 5 and 9 seconds, respectively.
The best predictors for the 1-mile race were Anders Medin (6 seconds off) and Roxana Candia and Sue Elkins (both 15 s).
The pace-race was held Tuesday in Pajarito Acres and started on Acoma Lane. For 1 mile, the fastest runners were Eddie Gartz (6:21) and Savanna Strothers (8:01). For 2.8 miles, John Rees (17:53) and Lynn Bjorklund (21:21) were the fastest.
The other better predictors (and the time in seconds that they were off their prediction) for 2.8 miles were Zachary Medin (21 s), John Rees (23), and Ted Williams (29). For 1 mile, good delta times were run by Paul Elkins and Jackie Marr (both 18 s) and Adrian Medin (19 s).
Next Tuesday’s Pace Race will start at the ski hill and go on trails towards Canada Bonita. Courses will be 1 and 3 miles.
