ACRR News:
Aurea Rojas was the best predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race held Tuesday, May 7 on the trails and road adjacent to Fireman’s Park near the Mitchell Trailhead in the Northern area of the County. She was 15 seconds off her predicted time.
Other accurate predictors were:
- Valerio Pinchetti recording a 19 second difference; Deana Tsang at 29 seconds off; Priscila Rosa with a 31 second differential; and Madeline Harms at 48 seconds off.
On the 1-mile course:
- Paul Geimer with 1-year-old Iris Geimer was the first finisher recording a 7:11 and Cecilia Duena had a time of 14:40 for best female finisher.
On the 3-mile course:
- Eric Anderson had a 23:46 for top finisher and Holly Walker was the first female with a time of 32:28.
Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument. It is located approximately 1.4 miles on the right after turning left at the junction of N.M. 501 (West Jemez Road) and N.M. 4 (the Back Gate) and heading down N.M. 4 East towards the Bandelier entrance. 1- and 3-mile trail runs will be available.
