Last Sunday at about 3 p.m., some relatives and I went camping in the Jemez Mountains and after packing up we headed to the San Antonio water springs in the area. Because the road gets kind of rough going there, we left three of our vehicles close to the highway by the entrance of the springs and all of us commuted in just one vehicle.

We spent few hours at the springs and when we returned to our vehicles we noticed that the right side window of my car was broken. Then my cousin noticed the same condition on her car – the right side window was broken.

Whoever did this took so many things out of her car. They stole jackets, sleeping bags, baggage, her purse and more.

These people didn’t steal many things from my car because I didn’t have much. When we made the police report and the police officer came he told us that sadly there had been many complaints and reports about this matter, but unfortunately they couldn’t post any signs warning  visitors since that location belongs to the government and not the county.

I really wish that the Los Alamos Daily Post can do something to warn people about this awful situation. I’m going to include photos that I took after we discovered our broken windows and noticed so many different colors of broken glass on the side of the road in the same area.
