Paving work will resume Friday, July 13, on N.M. 4 between the truck route and the White Rock “Y” interchange with N.M. 502.
This work will result in just one lane open throughout the weekend with a pilot car to escort traffic in both directions from early morning to late afternoon.
Friday commuters may want to consider using the Main Hill Road as the most efficient route to get to and from Los Alamos and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Regarding the project on N.M. 502 that started earlier this week, construction of the two eastbound lanes is on hold while traffic engineers determine how best to manage heavy traffic. Updates will be provided.
Federal officials emphasize that all drivers are required to follow and adhere to traffic signs and signals and are reminded to allow for extra commute time.
