Ribbon Cutting On New BSMA Gadgets Location Oct. 9

BSMA News:

The community is invited to attend a special ribbon cutting at 10 a.m., Oct. 9 celebrating the opening of Gadgets’ new location in the Bradbury Science Museum at 1350 Central Ave.

The new storefront, along with a new challenge coin celebrating LANL’s 75th anniversary, will be unveiled at event.

Opened in January of 2017 and parked in the lobby of the Bradbury Science Museum, the BSMA “Gadgets” kiosk has been extremely popular with locals and tourists alike.

The small, downtown store currently carries an inviting selection of Lab, Los Alamos, and science-themed apparel, books, tech accessories, and other great gifts. Sales from the tiny kiosk support the non-profit association’s mission to fund STEM activities for students K-12 in northern New Mexico. While sales have been brisk, the small size of the portable kiosk limits available stock on hand, as well as the variety of goods offered. To remedy these limitations, the Bradbury’s exhibit team designed a new, fold-out store front with extended display surfaces and additional storage.

The Oct. 9 ribbon cutting event includes light refreshments and the opportunity  check out the new store and expanded merchandise.
