COUNTY News:
The County has issued a reminder that the community is invited to attend the public meeting and reception for the Manhattan Project National Historical Park Field Team with National Park Service and DOE representatives.
The public meeting is 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 2 at Fuller Lodge and refreshments will be served.
The County asks the public to plan to park at the Library overflow lot or at the Justice Center across the street – or use the Atomic City Transit downtown circulator. Parking lots and traffic around Bathtub Row and Central Avenue will be congested at 5 p.m. due to the large turnout expected for the event.
Tuesday’s public meeting and reception will provide the field team with an opportunity to interact with members of the community and collect input and feedback about the new Park, as they learn more about Los Alamos and the Manhattan Project during their June 2-4 visit.
