RE/MAX First News:
I have a long history, and deep roots in Los Alamos. I was born here in town as were my parents and my children. My grandparents came to Los Alamos after the war during a time when kids were badged and had a Z number.
One of my grandfathers, Robert Cake, was the pharmacist in what is now the Starbucks building.
The other, Coke Ruminer, worked as a machinist at the lab. I am the third generation of my family to live in this town, and my children are the fourth.
I am married to my husband of 13 years, Devin Shunk. We also met here, at the softball fields in White Rock.
We have three beautiful children, Mattie will graduate high school next year, Braden is excited to go to the middle school, and Camden will be continuing at Pinon Elementary School.
I have a long history of real estate experience in Los Alamos. I began working to help sell the 2500 Central Development when I was a high school student, and it was during this time that I had my first taste of the real estate business. I continued to work with the same development company through the constructions of three developments in Quemazon.
I also worked at the Canyon Village Apartments where I was able to gain a couple of years of property management experience.
I met Kendra Henning at RE/MAX of Los Alamos in 2003, and was fortunate to train under her as her licensed assistant. During this time, I broadened my real estate experience to include residential resale.
I was fortunate and thankful to have had the ability to take some time to stay home with my children while they were young.
When my youngest went to kindergarten I made the decision to go back into real estate and continue my career as a full time Broker at RE/MAX First. I have since helped many families buy and sell their homes in Los Alamos.
I understand that real estate is not only about closing deals, but it is a personal transaction. Meeting people and helping them through the experience of the home buying and selling process is what I love about my job.
I love working hard for my clients and making the process as smooth and enjoyable as I can.
I am looking forward to many more years of living and working for the people of this beautiful little town.
