RE/MAX News:

RE/MAX of Los Alamos is excited to announce the newest member of the team, Gabe Rau.

Rau is a 2015 Los Alamos High School Graduate. He continues to attend the high school while transitioning into work life. Rau has worked at the Los Alamos Co-op for two years through the special needs vocational program and is looking forward to working at RE/MAX of Los Alamos. He loves going to school and seeing all his friends but he also loves his jobs.

Rau’s personal interests are wrestling, music, movies and of course football. He is a huge Denver Broncos fan and also is very active in state and local Special Olympics. He participates year round in golf, swimming, basketball and volleyball. Just a few weeks ago, Rau rappelled down the 16-story Albuquerque Bank and Trust building for a Special Olympics charity event. He comes to RE/MAX of Los Alamos as a part of the work study program at Los Alamos High School.

“We are incredibly excited to have Gabe as a part of our team! The energy he brings is second to none and it is great to be able to be a part of his career journey,” said Chris Ortega, owner of RE/MAX of Los Alamos. RE/MAX of Los Alamos has been serving the needs of buyers and sellers in this region for more than a decade.

The Los Alamos work study program at LAHS is a program for select students. Students whom it has been determined would benefit from the work experience gained on the job site. These opportunities are offered to employers in the community who are willing to provide students with positive on the job experiences.

For more information about this program, call Renee Dunwoody or Holly Phillip at LAHS at 505.663.2510.
