LITERARY News:
If you commute on the Rio Metro Regional Transit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you’ll be excited to hear about the upcoming “Author Event Series” as part of New Mexico Rail Runner’s In Transit Book Club in collaboration with Upland Avenue Publishing Group. The upcoming events are as follows:
Oct. 25 is “Ride the Rail with Germaine.” Kids will come dressed in Halloween costumes and enjoy the decorated pumpkins, free candy, giveaways, coloring sheets, and listen to Los Alamos author Janice Lovato of “Germaine the Beatle” read to them.
November is the “Art and Literary Lounge.” A local artisan and serigraphy instructor will share his art, inspired by the story of Odysseus, and will include his exposition of Mount Olympus.
January is “Helping Hand for Happiness.” There will be a reading designed to teach children about being a helper to others, even at a young age, and followed by a “helper pledge.”
February is “Beautiful Journeys Spoken Word Series.” Albuquerque High School’s ten finalists of the “Beautiful Journeys Poetry Contest” will share their positive poetry about their life’s journey.
