PURGATORY News:

With 78 inches of snowfall so far this month and more on the way, this January at Purgatory has been one of the snowiest in recent memory.

Overnight, Purgatory received an additional 10 inches of snow, bringing the total accumulation from this week’s storms to 21 inches and it’s still snowing. Purgatory has received 149 inches of snow this season and the mountain is 100 percent open with skiing and riding on 105 trails.

As January also is the National Ski Area Association’s Safety Month, Purgatory reminds skiers and riders to know and follow the Responsibility Code. It’s up to all of us to make the slopes safer for everyone.

Stay safe out there and bring a snorkel!

With all the fresh powder, please ski with a buddy especially if you’re heading into the trees. Drive safely, carpool if you can and only park in designated areas. Skier parking lots can fill up fast and illegally parked cars make it dangerous and difficult to free up space, especially with large quantities of snowfall.

Visitors are encouraged to sign up for text alerts to get info about snow totals, parking updates and more at purgatory.ski.
