This winter season has been a banner year for the resort: Purgatory picked up 359” – nearly 30 feet – of snow this winter, a feat accomplished only two other times since the Durango-area ski resort opened in 1965.
“We haven’t seen snow like this in over 40 years,” Purgatory GMDave Rathbun said. “In March alone we received more than 100” of snowfall, which hasn’t happened here since 1979. Our guests and loyal pass holders will be talking about this season for years to come – and we’re thrilled to be able to share these great conditions in the month of May for the first time in our history.”
As part of MCP’s commitment to making skiing affordable and accessible to everyone, all of the ski areas within the MCP family will also continue to offer Power Kids, a FREE season pass for kids ages 10 and younger. No parent purchase is required, and this pass is valid everyday through the 2019/2020 season.
