Purgatory Extends Season Through April

DURANGO, Colo.  Purgatory Resort officials announced that the resort is once again extending its season through the end of April! Purgatory will offer skiing and snowboarding on weekends throughout April.
 
Purgatory is now open Fridays through Sundays through April 15; and Saturdays and Sundays, April 21 through April 29 with lifts turning 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Discounted lift tickets are available online when purchased 48-hours in advance. Power Passes are valid, and weekday passholders may use their passes April 6, 13, 21, 22, 28 & 29. 
 
More information on lifts and available terrain open for the weekend will be available in Friday morning’s snow report.
 
Fun Spring Events Scheduled for the Rest of the Season
 
Spring skiing means sunny, bluebird days and soft snow! It’s not complete without fun events at the resort, and Purgatory has plenty on the books already! April 7, head to the Bear Bar for après ski and a chance to win a New Belgium Fat Tire cruiser bike. Enjoy beach-themed music like songs by Jimmy Buffett and tasty beer-ritas on the ski beach on Saturday and Sunday, April 8 and 9 – discounts provided to those who wear costumes. More details on weekend events will be available soon on the website SkiPurg.com.
 
Next Year’s Season Passes are Now on Sale at New Lower Prices  
 
The 2018/2019 Power Pass is currently on sale at new lower prices, and passes are offered at the lowest price guaranteed. Adult passes start at $349, and all kids passes for those in fourth grade (next fall) and younger are FREE – no purchase required. Sale ends April 20; for details, visit SkiPurg.com.
