EPA Expands Research On COVID-19 In Environment

EPA News:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) continues to make COVID-19 issues a top priority.

The Agency has been actively supporting response efforts across the country to protect public health. As part of these efforts, EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler is asking for a rapid review with the Science Advisory Board (SAB) to provide feedback on research needs identified by EPA’s researchers.

This research will enhance and build on the Agency’s capabilities to address the environmental and human health impacts from the virus that causes COVID-19.

NMSP Officer Involved Shooting At Silver City Snappy Mart

NMSP News:

GRANT COUNTY — The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was contacted March 25 to investigate a police shooting involving the Silver City Police Department (SCPD). 

At approximately 8 p.m., SCPD Cpl. Steven Delgado responded to reports of shots fired on Highway 90 and North Daniels Street in Silver City.

STATE News:

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced today 126 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County remains at 6 positive cases that tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update also includes three additional deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

Per the New Mexico Department of Health, the most recent cases announced today include:

  • 24 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 1 new case in Colfax County
  • 4 new cases in Doña Ana County
  • 1 new case in Eddy County
  • 1 new case in Grant County
