- The decision to close LAPS or delay the start of school due to weather will usually be made by 5:30 a.m.

Pandey Preliminary Hearing Continued
COURT News:
A preliminary hearing in Los Alamos Magistrate Court for Sachin Pandey on charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment and attempt to commit sexual assault has been continued to Jan. 5.
Assistant District Attorney said last Friday that he was not prepared and asked for a continuance. Pandey’s attorney Daniel Cron did not object to the continuance but advised the Court of the inconvenience to Pandey’s mother and sister who had traveled from Philadelphia and San Francisco respectively for the hearing.

Today Marks Attack On Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941

NATIONAL News:
Dec. 7, 1941, Japan launches a surprise attack on American soil at Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor is a U.S. naval base near Honolulu, Hawaii, and the scene of that devastating surprise attack.
Just before 8 a.m. on that Sunday morning, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes descended on the base, where they managed to destroy or damage nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight enormous battleships, and over 300 airplanes. More than 2,400 Americans died in the attack, including civilians, and another 1,000 people were wounded.
