Regional Coalition Of LANL Communities Opposes Elimination Of Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board

A proposal by its Chairman Sean Sullivan to eliminate the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) is being opposed by the Regional Coalition of LANL Communities, according to Executive Director Andrea Romero.

Navajo Man Pleads Guilty To Federal Assault Charges

FBI News:
 
ALBUQUERQUE  Shayliss Ellsworth, 24, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation who resides in Crownpoint, pled guilty to assault charges Nov. 27 in Federal Court in Albuquerque.
 
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Ellsworth faces a prison sentence within the range of 70 to 87 months followed by a term of supervised release to be determined by the court.

State Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints; saturation patrols; and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of December 2017.

Sunland Park Heroin Trafficker Sentenced To Prison

ALBUQUERQUE  Eleodoro Sanchez, 62, of Canutillo, Texas, was sentenced Nov. 15 in Federal Court in Las Cruces, to 36 months in prison for his conviction on heroin trafficking charges resulting from a DEA-led investigation targeting a heroin trafficking ring operating out of Sunland Park. 
 
Sanchez will be on supervised release for three years after completing his prison sentence.
