Lightning sparked the Commissary Fire over the weekend in San Miguel County, approximately 13 miles east of Pecos in the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest.

Summary: The lightning-caused Commissary Fire was reported by the Barillas Lookout Tower June 6, and has grown to approximately 25 acres. The Commissary Fire is a slow-moving ground

No Injuries Reported In Friday’s Two-Vehicle Crash

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident around 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday that bogged down traffic near the Los Alamos County Airport. Police said that the driver of a red BMW fell asleep and drifted into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with a Toyota truck.
