The Los Alamos County Transportation Board and Public Works Department will hold a public meeting to discuss the reconstruction improvements in the Denver Steels Area (36th Street/Ridgeway Drive/Questa Drive/Pueblo Drive). The meeting is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave. and via Zoom.

The project consists of a full reconstruction including pavement replacement and ADA safety improvements of Western Area No. 2 Neighborhood Denver Steels Phase 2 – 36th Street/Ridgeway Drive/Questa Drive/Pueblo Drive.
The scope of work includes replacement of the existing asphalt surface and base course, targeted replacement of curb and gutter, valley gutters, sidewalk, drive pads, and ADA improvements. This project is a joint project with the Department of Public Utilities to include preplacement of waterlines.
The project is in the design phase slated for construction in the Summer of 2025. Subsequent communications will be shared with impacted residents prior to construction, as project details and schedule are finalized.
