Psychologist Elizabeth Perry Closes Practice to New Clients

Dr. Elisabeth Perry, clinical and police psychologist, will close her practice to new clients in 2014. She will continue with already existing clients until their termination from counseling. Perry will continue her practice as a psychological evaluator only.  

Perry has been working in the mental health area since 1977. In 1982, she received a BS in psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In 1984, she received an MA and in 1988, a PhD from the California Professional Psychology (also Alliant International University.) 

In 1992, Perry became New Mexico Board certified as a clinical and school psychologist, and worked shortly with the Los Lunas and Los Alamos school districts. That year, she also began working independently as a clinical psychologist in Los Alamos.  

She has specialized in police psychology. For more than 20 years, Perry has conducted therapy, pre-employment screenings, and fitness for duty evaluations on law enforcement officers from various departments throughout the state of New Mexico.  

From 1992 to 2000, Perry worked with the New Mexico Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team. In 2000, she began training with the Center Through the Looking Glass and in 2010 with the New Mexico State University as a prescribing psychologist.
