projectY cowork Los Alamos member Naly Ramírez began using the space a little over a year and a half ago, in early 2017. She is a local Spanish teacher, teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced-level Spanish language classes to the citizens of Los Alamos and White Rock.
“projectY is not only a professional environment where I can bring my students and teach my classes, but it is also a place where I can find a support network that helps me with ideas and gives me advice on how to achieve my professional goals,” Ramírez said.
Ramírez teaches various levels of conversational Spanish classes in a group setting, with a maximum group size of seven students. The classes meet at projectY cowork once a week for two hours at a time, and each class runs for four weeks at a rate of $120 per four-week session. Additionally, Ramírez provides private Spanish lessons for both children and adults.
Ramírez also hosts a Spanish group within the community called ‘El Grupo L.A.’
“El Grupo L.A. is an informal Spanish group that I have started here in Los Alamos for anybody who is interested in getting together to speak in Spanish,” Ramírez said. “Everybody is welcome to be part of this group.”
