PHS-NM News:
Project Heart Start of New Mexico will be offering free hands-only CPR training at 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 20 at Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos.
The 6th annual Project Heart Start Day in New Mexico will include free 40-minute CPR classes at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with training that includes recognizing heart attack signs, performing compression CPR, using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and saving choking victims.
Los Alamos area residents of all ages are encouraged to attend and learn how to save lives.
“CPR-trained individuals find that their training is often needed to save a loved one’s life. What could be more important?” said Dr. Barry Ramo, well-known New Mexico cardiologist. “Hands-only CPR is easy to learn. It provides a strategy for saving a life, and that life may be your spouse or partner, your child, your parent.”
