Power Outage at North Mesa Resolved

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities officials report that power was interrupted in the Sioux Street area of North Mesa about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

DPU linemen were deployed to investigate. An underground line fault was determined to be the cause of the outage and by about 3:45 p.m., the affected residents had power restored to their homes.

“This particular line segment, up to Cheyenne, has been identified and prioritized for replacement with funds budgeted to replace the section,” said DPU’s Deputy Utilities Manager Rafael De La Torre.
