Posts From The Road: Chris LeDoux Memorial Park

Chris LeDoux was passionate about rodeoing and music and became a champion in both fields. LeDoux earned accolades in rodeoing beginning in high school and won the world bareback championship in 1976. LeDoux’s music love allowed him to write and sing about the cowboy lifestyle. With the help of his parents, he created an independent record label and sold four million recordings. LeDoux was mentioned in a hit recording by Garth Brooks, which brought him national attention and recognition and a recording contract with Capitol Records. He went on to sell more than six million recordings with Capitol. LeDoux died in 2005 at the age of 56 of liver cancer. His hometown of Kaycee, Wyo. dedicated the Memorial Park in June, 2010.
