The family of the U.S. Army general who oversaw the building of Los Alamos National Laboratory will donate his official military portrait to the Los Alamos Historical Society Friday, April 5.

Gen. Leslie Groves was commander of the Army Corps of Engineers Manhattan Engineer District.
