NEWS ALERT:
Los Alamos Police Cmdr. Oliver Morris has issued an alert to the community regarding a phone scam currently underway. Morris said community members are receiving calls from someone claiming to be with the Sheriff’s Dept., demanding money. He advises the community, “Do Not Respond.” This is a scam.
The Sheriff’s Dept. will never call any citizen to demand money.. Morris advises citizens to simply hang up the phone immediately.
