Planetarium Film At Nature Center: We Are Astronomers

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s (PEEC’s) popular planetarium film, We are Astronomers,is back! This family-friendly film will play in the Los Alamos Nature Center planetarium on Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22 at 2 p.m. See how astronomers seek an answer to the origin of the Universe.

Today’s astronomer is not the lone observer of past centuries. Now astronomers around the world collaborate in order to make better use of their technology. We are Astronomers, an exciting full-dome film, reveals how technologies, such as the Large Hadron Collider, the observatories of Chile, and the Hubble Space Telescope, work. Until now, few people knew the dedication required to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos.

Tickets may be purchased by phone or at the Los Alamos Nature Center for $6 for adults and $4 for children. This movie is not recommended for children under 4 years old.The breathtaking movie starts promptly at 2 p.m. and seating is limited. Arrive at least 10 minutes prior.
