Pets Of The Week: Meet Trinity, Stormy & Cloud

Trinity is the newest graduate from the Española Humane Paws in the Pen program in partnership with the Penitentiary of New Mexico. This beautifully brindled girl is like bliss on four legs. Trinity has a zen-like quality about her, and when she curls up next to you or looks into your eyes and smiles, it’s as if time slows down, tension slips away, and your heart grows three sizes. She has the most mellow, easy going vibe and would be equally happy as a couch potato as she is going for a hike or a tootle around the neighborhood. She loves dogs of all shapes and sizes and temperaments, she is wonderful with cats, and she wants nothing more than to be loved by her people. This catahoula/plott hound mix is 55 lbs, a year and a half old, spayed/vaccinated/microchipped and goes home with six months of free heartworm prevention  – and one of her admirers has generously offered to sponsor her adoption fee. Apply to schedule time to meet her at www.espanolahumane.org or call 505.753.8662. Courtesy/EH

Stormy was rescued by firefighters after being trapped in an Española storm drain for 24 hours. He was warmed and had emergency veterinary care before he went to foster care with his new best friend, Cloudy. Both of these boys are now available for adoption from Española Humane – neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Española Humane is open to walk-in adopters 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Saturday. Courtesy/EH
