Skippy never got the memo that he’s missing a leg. He zips, springs, ricochets, and conquers the world in three-legged stride, leaving everyone else struggling to keep up. Brave without trying to be, this little tripod is social, gentle, and happily shares his adventures with other cats and even dogs. When the zoomies wind down, he’ll happily fold himself into your lap for a well-earned nap. Skippy has also been an honorary member of our shelter clinic’s Special Cats Club—an exclusive little crew of head trauma survivors, orthopedic oddballs, and genetically gifted goofballs who’ve turned the office and kennel space into their own tiny kit-dom of chaos. Skippy isn’t looking for sympathy—he’s looking for someone to cheer him on. If your home could use an orange sidekick with an oversized spirit and a talent for turning three legs into magic, Skippy is your guy! Española Humane is open to walk-in adopters 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. Visit www.espanolahumane.org.
