Pets Of The Week: Bruno And Julius

Bruno is a 3-year-old heartthrob with hypnotizing green eyes and the emotional sensitivity of a poet. This dog is pure gentleness. He walks softly, leans lovingly into your side, and looks at you like he’s known you forever. Bruno is wonderful with other dogs, respectful with cats, and deeply kind with people. Everyone who meets this tender fella falls in love! Apply for Bruno on our website: he is currently in foster care at the Penitentiary of New Mexico where his inmate foster has crate, potty, and leash trained him already! Española Humane is open to walk-in adopters 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. Visit www.espanolahumane.org. Courtesy/EH

Behind on your biscuit-making quota? Julius is part of a litter of four polydactyl purr babies who have extra toes for extra biscuit power! Legend says polydactyl cats were considered lucky by sailors because those giant mitten feet made them excellent mousers and expert ship climbers. Our theory, though, is that they were simply engineered to be 37% cuter. Come meet this mitten squad at the shelter, open Monday–Saturday from 11–4:30. Fair warning: once you hold one, your fate is sealed. Española Humane is open to walk-in adopters 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 108 Hamm Parkway in Española.
