Pet of the Week: Ziva the Cat

SHELTER News:

Ziva is beautiful white and gray tabby is an 8-year-old spayed female that loves to observe the cat room from atop a cat tower, so she can keep tabs on all the cats.

She was surrendered for not getting along with the other cat in the household, but she has been okay with other cats coming up to say hi, so she will probably do fine in a multi-cat household if given a proper introduction and time to adjust.

One volunteer recently learned that she loves to be cuddled, as long as she can lie in her bed and not have to be in your arms. She would do best in a home without young children or dogs.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets – see the Petfinder website for photos at http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/friendsoftheshelter.html

This week, the Shelter is offering a two for one adoption fee for cats.

For information about volunteering, adopting and donating, and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
